Will pressure washing damage my paving?

Accepted Answer

Not when the pressure and nozzle are matched to the surface. We test a small area first and only step the pressure up as far as the surface can safely take.

Can you clean Indian stone and porcelain patios?

Yes. Both are cleaned at lower pressure with the right nozzle so the surface isn't scarred or pitted.

Can you remove oil stains from a driveway?

We can usually lift them a long way with a degreaser and hot work, but old, deeply soaked oil can leave a shadow. We'll tell you what to expect before starting.

Will cleaning wash the sand out of my block paving?

Accepted Answer

Some sand always comes out with the dirt. We can brush kiln-dried sand back into the joints afterwards so the blocks stay locked together.

How long before weeds come back in the joints?

Usually a year or two, sooner in shaded or sheltered areas. Re-sanding the joints gives them less to root into.

How often should I have my patio or drive cleaned?

Every one to two years suits most properties. North-facing or heavily shaded areas green up faster and often need doing annually.

We can work from an outside tap, and we carry our own supply where that isn't available. Just tell us at the quote stage.

Yes — they're regularly done at the same visit as a patio or drive. Mention them when you ask for a price.

Pointing that has already failed can come away under any pressure. We check it first and point out anything weak before we start.

Most domestic drives are a half-day to a full day, depending on size, access and how much growth has taken hold.

Yes. Early mornings, evenings, weekends and closure periods are how most of our commercial work gets done.
